Privacy Policy

Ehelper helps Etsy, independent-store, and Amazon sellers connect product research, orders, designs, and supplier collaboration. This policy covers our website, workspace, and ehelper Assistant browser extension.

Website and workspace information

We collect information you provide when using the service:

• Account and support: name, email, sign-in details, and messages or attachments you send us.
• Products and orders: product links, prices, supplier contacts, order details, and buyer contact and shipping information included in your imports.
• Design materials: personalization text, artwork, photos, production instructions, and uploaded files.
• Billing and usage: subscription and transaction records, IP address, browser information, page visits, and service errors. Payment providers handle payment credentials; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.

You decide which customer information to upload and share. Ehelper processes seller-provided order and design materials on the seller's instructions. Sellers are responsible for the necessary customer notices and lawful authorization.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, organize products and orders, connect designs to production, provide storage and sharing, process subscriptions, answer support requests, and protect the service.

Where required, processing relies on our agreement with you, consent, legal obligations, or legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, balanced against your rights.

Browser extension: Etsy research

The following applies to version 1.5.4. Its research data is handled separately from website accounts and is not automatically synced to your workspace.

What it accesses

The extension reads public Etsy listings, shops, prices, metrics, and reviews, plus the Etsy page context needed to display research and price tools. Public reviews can include reviewer identifiers. It uses the Etsy app Keystring and Shared Secret you enter, rather than your Etsy password, login cookies, or private order records.

Storage and side-panel permissions support these features. Clipboard access only writes values when you choose Copy. The extension does not read browsing history, monitor unrelated sites, or edit Etsy listings.

Where information goes

Research requests and app credentials go directly to Etsy's official API hosts, openapi.etsy.com and api.etsy.com. Images load from i.etsystatic.com. Currency requests go to api.frankfurter.dev with currency codes, without Etsy credentials or product details. These providers receive normal connection information such as your IP address.

Ehelper's backend receives neither extension credentials nor research results. The extension contains no advertising, telemetry, cloud sync, or third-party AI or translation service. Extension data is not sold or used for advertising or creditworthiness decisions; its use and transfer follow the Chrome Web Store's Limited Use requirements.

Your controls

The extension requests explicit consent before reading page data or making research and exchange-rate requests. Credentials are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM; research caches have six-hour validity and exchange rates have 24-hour validity.

Withdrawing consent pauses these features and clears credentials, their local key, and research and rate caches. Saved listings, language, and consent choices can remain. You can remove saved listings, restrict site access, or uninstall to clear extension storage. Website records and exported copies are separate.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. Hosting, storage, payment, email, and support providers process information needed to deliver their services. Providers may operate in other countries; required transfer safeguards apply.

If you create a supplier share link, anyone with it can access the selected fields and files. Buyer and shipping fields are optional. You can revoke access, but copies already downloaded remain with the recipient. We may also disclose necessary information for legal obligations, security, or a business transfer, subject to applicable protections.

Etsy and other external platforms have their own privacy policies.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for sign-in, security, and preferences. If enabled, website analytics, advertising, and support tools may process online identifiers, visits, or chat messages. These tools are separate from the extension.

Use available Cookie settings or your browser controls to manage your choices. Where applicable, you can opt out of sharing for targeted advertising or contact us for help.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Current maintenance rules allow cleanup of deleted orders after 30 days and shipped or canceled orders once their order date, or creation date if missing, is 365 days old. Private order backups have a 28-day window; actual removal depends on successful maintenance.

We use authentication, access controls, protected file access, and HTTPS to safeguard information. Deleted data may remain temporarily in restricted backups. Your exports and recipients' copies are outside our deletion controls.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability; withdraw consent; restrict or object to processing; and complain to a privacy authority. We may verify your identity and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. Buyers should first contact the seller managing their order.

Ehelper is intended for adult sellers and collaborators. Contact us if a child has provided account information.
